Terminal #1 Claims the Top Spot
Image's Terminal #1 landed at No. 1 on the Top 400 bestselling comics for the week of July 14–20, powered by blind bag variant distribution. The launch beat both Absolute Wonder Woman #22 and Absolute Superman #21, which took second and third respectively. Prana Direct Market Solutions compiled the chart from point-of-sale data across more than 600 stores running Manage Comics and Comic Shop Assistant systems.
Absolute Batman Holds Weeks After Release
Absolute Batman #22 stayed inside the top 20 at No. 19 despite arriving two weeks earlier. The title's staying power reflects the broader Absolute line's momentum — Absolute Green Arrow #3 placed at No. 13, Absolute Catwoman #2 at No. 34, and Absolute Flash #17 at No. 39. Older Absolute issues continued charting deep into the list, with Absolute Batman #1 still appearing past the halfway mark.
Gambit Wanted Outruns the X-Men Field
Marvel's Gambit Wanted #1 opened at No. 5, outperforming every other X-Men-branded title that week. Uncanny X-Men #32 followed at No. 7, X-Men The Hellfire Murder #1 at No. 9, and Wolverine #24 at No. 17. The debut signals the Gambit character still draws a crowd when given a marquee launch.
TMNT Beats Marvel's Heavy Hitters
IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #20 landed at No. 4, splitting the two Absolute DC titles and the Gambit launch from the rest of the top ten. The issue outsold Amazing Spider-Man #33, which placed sixth. IDW's Sonic The Hedgehog Godzilla crossover also charted, debuting at No. 53.
Prana Tracks Weekly Sales Across 600-Plus Stores
The system tracks point-of-sale data from 600-plus stores in the Manage Comics and Comic Shop Assistant systems, giving retailers a faster read on what's moving than monthly estimates. Prana also publishes its own titles: Comics The Magazine #2 and #5 both charted in the same week's data, showing the company operates on both sides of the business.
Spider-Man Titles Spread Across the Chart
Marvel placed multiple Spider-Man books throughout the rankings. Amazing Spider-Man #33 took No. 6, Spider-Man Long Way Home #2 landed at No. 14, and Punisher Vs Spider-Man #1 opened at No. 46. Older issues continued selling: Amazing Spider-Man #129 appeared in the lower half of the chart, a back-issue marker the chart tracks alongside new releases.
Dark Horse and Boom Hold Real Estate
Dark Horse placed Dungeons And Dragons Total Party Killers #1 at No. 52 and Giant Robot Hellboy Returns #1 further down the list. Boom's Something Is Killing The Children #49 charted in the top 30, with Hello Darkness #23 in the top 100. Neither publisher cracked the top ten, but both maintained steady mid-list presence throughout the 400.
